Profile In 1995, Mr. Deckman joined the law firm of Tobin, Carberry, O’Malley, Riley, Selinger, P.C., where he served both as a professional lobbyist and director of the Government Relations Department. Mr. Deckman first became active in political affairs as a high school student in 1987, when he was selected by US Senator Lowell P. Weicker (CT) to participate in the US Senate Youth Program in Washington, D.C. He later served as a campaign staffer for several congressional campaigns, and remains actively involved in supporting candidates for federal, state, and local office in Connecticut.
As president and senior lobbyist of the TCORS Capitol Group, LLC, Mr. Deckman concentrates his government relations practice on developing legislative and regulatory strategies, managing complex procurement matters, and resolving administrative problems for clients from a wide range of industries at both the state and local levels of government.
Education Mr. Deckman graduated from Assumption College and received the distinguished Crown and Shield Award in 1993. Subsequently, he earned a Masters degree of Public Administration from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University, in Boston, where he was also selected to participate in the Dean’s Fellowship Program.
Formerly, Mr. Deckman served as Executive Assistant to the Vice President at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, one of the largest such facilities in the country.

Christopher J. VanDeHoef
|
Profile Mr. VanDeHoef joined the Government Relations Department of Tobin, Carberry, O’Malley, Riley, Selinger, P.C., for the 2003 legislative session and the ensuing special sessions. Following a three-month project at the University of Connecticut Alumni Association, Chris returned to the law firm in January of 2004.
Chris became active in Connecticut politics in 2001 when he moved to Hartford from Columbia, South Carolina, where he worked as a consultant on then Governor Jim Hodges’ campaign. From 2001 to 2003, Chris consulted on more than a dozen state-wide campaigns in various states.
A well-respected lobbyist at the TCORS Capitol Group, LLC, Chris focuses his efforts on state and local initiatives. In this role, Chris remains active in developing and managing client legislative strategies as well as local and state procurements. Additionally, of course, he continues to consult on local political campaigns.
Education Mr. VanDeHoef graduated with a B.S. in Political Science from the Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio.

Profile Ms. Deckman joined the law firm of Tobin, Carberry, O’Malley, Riley, Selinger, P.C., in 2001. As an experienced association professional, with a strong background in meeting planning, she provides executive services to a number of the TCORS Capitol Group’s association management clients. In addition to her meeting planning responsibilities, Allyson designs and implements effective client communication strategies. Currently, she serves as the Association Executive for the Connecticut Council of Administrators of Special Education (ConnCASE) and the Children's League of Connecticut, Inc. (CLOC), and the National Commission for the Accrediation of Special Education Services (NCASES) and serves as Executive Director of the Connecticut Glass Dealers Association (CGDA).
Previously, Allyson was the Assistant Marketing Director and Chief Meeting Planner for the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce and its 1,100 members.
Professional Memberships Allyson is an active member of the Connecticut Society of Association Executives (CSAE) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Education Ms. Deckman earned her B.A. Degree from Teikyo Post University in Waterbury, CT.

Valerie Stolfi Collins
|
Profile Prior to joining the law firm of Tobin, Carberry, O’Malley, Riley, Selinger, P.C., Ms. Stolfi Collins served as a liaison to key elected officials during various local, gubernatorial, and congressional campaigns where she was responsible for planning and conducting events, day-to-day operations, and campaign “Get Out the Vote” (GOTV) efforts. In addition to her campaign experience, Valerie served as an intern for Congresswoman Nancy Johnson in Washington, D.C.
Currently, Valerie works directly with clients on both government relations and association management matters and serves as the Executive Director of the Connecticut Apartment Association (CTAA) and the Connecticut Glass Dealers Assocaition (CGDA). In her capacity as an Executive Director, Valerie has excelled at raising non-dues revenue and increasing membership for her associations. She is an accomplished event planner whose strengths are developing budgets and paying close attention to detail. She has planned numerous tradeshows, conferences, seminars, networking events and golf tournaments, as well as implemented a state approved licensing curriculum.
Professional Memberships Valerie is an active member of the Connecticut Society of Association Executives (CSAE).
